A puncture outfit and a spare inner tube is always useful in case of punctures. Don't panic if you can't fix the puncture as other members are always willing to help.
Our rides go to the pace of the slowest rider so we won't leave you in the middle of nowhere and if the hills are too steep feel free to get off and walk.
The rides details should state if you will be required to bring a packed lunch or if food stops are planned. It is always important to carry some food supplies with you such as energy bars.
Lights are essential for the evening rides
It is expected that regular riders fit full length mudguards to keep others dry and dirt off the furniture of the pubs & cafes we use, a rear mudflap to give that extra bit of protection to cyclists behind you is also much appreciated.
Wednesday evening rides end at the pub and it is each cyclists own responsibility to see yourself safely home. Please consider local neighbours of the pub and leave quietly.
We are Worcester & Malvern Cyclists' Touring Club.
The local group section of Cycling UK (CTC). We ride all year round, come wind, rain, snow or shine, day or night, on-road or off.
Our local section has over 400 members with approximately 70 of us regularly riding throughout the week. Rides are very informal and have various start times, meeting points and destinations. Ride lengths also vary from 20 miles to 100 miles (don’t worry, this is rare!) A full or half day ride will normally have at least one cafe or pub stop. Check the rides list for details.
If you decide that you like cycling with any of our local groups then membership of Cycling UK is a great benefit: third party insurance, discounts on cycle related products, route information, technical advice, a free bi-monthly magazine and the backing of a national organisation.
